The technical team

Four disciplines.
One commercial pathway.

REAIO brings the essential technical functions around one brief—from product definition and ingredient architecture to factory execution and controlled documentation.

Capability leads

The expertise each project needs—connected from the start.

The team structure is designed around the work, not internal silos. Each lead owns a distinct technical discipline while decisions are shared across product, process, supply and compliance.

01Technical role

Product development

Product & Application Development Lead

Turns an early commercial idea into a structured development brief, practical formulation pathway and product that is ready to be tested in the real world.

Concept translationFormulation strategySensory directionPrototype refinement
Contribution

This role connects consumer expectations with ingredient functionality and production reality. It defines what success looks like, develops the bench pathway, compares prototypes and keeps flavour, texture, shelf life and target cost moving together.

Typical brief

A new bakery concept, a private-label range refresh, an underperforming product, or a benchmark that needs to be translated into a commercially distinct offer.

02Technical role

Ingredients & supply

Ingredient Systems & Supplier Lead

Builds the ingredient and supplier architecture behind each product, balancing functionality, availability, commercial terms and continuity of supply.

Ingredient functionalitySupplier qualificationCost architectureSupply continuity
Contribution

This role evaluates mixes, improvers, fillings, inclusions, flavours and functional ingredients against the finished-product brief. It coordinates technical information with suppliers, identifies workable alternatives and helps avoid dependence on a single fragile solution.

Typical brief

A custom ingredient system, a cost or availability challenge, a cleaner-label target, or a product that requires reliable supply across multiple production sites.

03Technical role

Scale-up & production

Process Scale-Up & Manufacturing Lead

Translates an approved product from bench or pilot conditions into a stable, repeatable process that fits the customer’s equipment, people and throughput.

Pilot trialsProcess parametersLine performanceTroubleshooting
Contribution

This role plans trials, establishes critical process settings and examines where a formulation behaves differently at commercial scale. It works through mixing, forming, proofing, baking, cooling, freezing and finishing variables to protect consistency and operational simplicity.

Typical brief

A product moving into factory production, a difficult line trial, yield or waste pressure, freeze–thaw instability, or quality variation between shifts and sites.

04Technical role

Quality & compliance

Quality, Regulatory & Documentation Lead

Creates the technical foundation required to approve, launch and maintain a product with confidence across customers, suppliers and manufacturing partners.

SpecificationsAllergen reviewLabel inputsChange control
Contribution

This role organises product and ingredient specifications, supplier documents, allergen information, technical approvals and controlled updates. It helps turn development decisions into clear records that can support customer review, production handover and ongoing optimisation.

Typical brief

A private-label approval, a new supplier or co-manufacturer, a specification gap, an ingredient change, or a launch that needs a practical and traceable technical file.

One integrated team

No technical hand-offs without context.

A formulation decision can affect process stability, supply risk, cost and documentation. REAIO keeps those consequences visible throughout the project so the approved product is not only technically sound—it is practical to launch and support.
